It’s been a few months, I know. I’ve been hard at work finalizing all the stuff for the release of Upstairs next month.
Part of that was getting some new artwork. There wasn’t anything wrong with the previous artwork, per se, but I didn’t love how it turned out, so I made some small adjustments with the help of a new artist I found. The final final cover better represents what I want the story to be, at a casual glance.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not you’ll read it, here’s some early reviews from my ARC readers:
I definitely didn’t see the twist coming, I actually thought it was going to be something completely different, so it was nice surprise to not guess what was gonna happen at the end. This book definitely is a good quick horror easy read, but has depth and heaviness to it. Easily could have binged this book in one day, if I had the time to as it’s good at keeping your attention and wanting to find out how it ends.
This read gave me genuine, authentic shivers. As a reader who loves to create the perfect atmosphere to make a story truly immersive, Upstairs delivered completely.
If you are one of those people who gets nightmares, or who stays up pondering the horror long after you finish the last page (like I do), then this story is absolutely for you. The characters are very well-built, and the narrative is excellent and genuinely creepy.
I definitely did NOT see the plot twist coming—OMG 😱! I am giving this 5 stars without hesitation because I loved this story, and it will undoubtedly make you question many things.
The tension builds masterfully as Max confronts what others dismiss as madness, and the story balances eerie suspense with deeply human moments of loss, love, and memory. Readers will find themselves questioning what is real and feeling every pulse of fear alongside the protagonist.
Upstairs is set to release on January 20th. And if I don’t talk to you before then, Happy Holidays!
